Recognizing the problem of human trafficking in Florida
Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Human trafficking (or modern-day slavery) is the second largest global industry – behind illegal drug trafficking – and enslaves tens of millions of women, children, and men worldwide. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality.

In collaboration with human trafficking advocates (including survivors, law enforcement, and service providers), the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking developed a training course that focuses on detecting human trafficking, best practices for reporting human trafficking, and the interventions and treatment for survivors of human trafficking. Thousands of individuals have completed the training course from various industries, including hotel, motel, vacation rentals, trucking and logistics, healthcare, property management, service providers, statewide associations, state/local government agencies, universities, real estate, and more.
Thank you for your commitment to the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking and its mission to increase awareness, education, and training about this horrific crime. With your financial support, your organization stands next to Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and the Florida Alliance as it fights to combat exploitation in the state.
